Seeds that sprout into lifelong success
At Perfect Pair ABA, we build strong partnerships among our staff, parents, and children to help our clients master important life skills. With personalized interventions and play-filled sessions, our children flourish and positively contribute to family life.
The ABA Therapy Services We Provide
Perfect Pair ABA works with children across New Mexico and Virginia. Which services a child receives comes out of the assessment rather than from a menu.
- In-home ABA therapy: One-to-one sessions in your own home, built around the routines that are actually difficult. This is where most families start.
- School-based ABA therapy: Support during the school day, coordinated with your child’s teacher and support staff.
- Clinic-based ABA: Structured sessions at our center, which suits school-readiness goals and children who benefit from practice with peers.
- Early intervention ABA: Programs for the youngest children, targeting communication, play and everyday routines.
- Parent training: Runs alongside everything else, because the strategies only hold if they continue between sessions.
- Behavioral assessments for autism: Including the functional behavior assessment that the treatment plan is built from.
Where we work is set out on ABA therapy in New Mexico and ABA therapy in Virginia.
The Methods Behind the Plan
The seven techniques named on this page are the working parts of an ABA program. They are worth a sentence each, because most providers list them and very few explain them.
- Task analysis breaks a skill such as handwashing into its separate steps so each one can be taught and measured.
- Shaping reinforces successive approximations, so a child who cannot yet do the whole thing is rewarded for getting closer to it.
- Prompting provides the help a child needs to succeed, and prompt fading removes that help deliberately rather than by accident.
- Generalization is the work of making a skill hold outside the room it was taught in, which is why so much of our therapy happens at home and at school rather than only in a clinic.
- Extinction stops reinforcing a behaviour that is no longer serving the child, and it is used carefully, alongside teaching a replacement.
- Positive reinforcement is the foundation of all of it: increasing a behaviour by following it with something the child actually values.
- Modeling shows a child what to do rather than telling them, which suits social and play skills particularly well.

FAQs About Our Services
That comes out of the assessment. Most children start with in-home ABA and add school-based support or clinic sessions as the plan develops.
In-home work targets the routines of daily life in the place they happen. Clinic sessions give a structured setting with peers, which suits school-readiness goals. Many children use both.
Yes. The clinical model is the same in both states; the areas staffed and the insurance plans differ.
No. It is part of the program. The strategies only hold between sessions if the people who are there between sessions know them.
